What maintenance can cover
A service visit can include viewing checks for each camera, lens cleanliness, recorder health, hard disk alerts, time synchronization, network status and UPS or power issues. Conditions and obligations are agreed separately in the support quotation.
Security and access reviews
Review administrator accounts, remove credentials for former users and consider manufacturer-approved firmware updates after backing up the configuration. Verify remote viewing is appropriately secured.
An AMC should be specific
A maintenance agreement should name the covered systems, visit frequency, service-hours expectations, exclusions and responsibility for replacement parts. No unsupported response-time or warranty promise is implied.
